Seruthunai nayanar gurupoojai was conducted on Avani poosam 2013 at Keelathanjavur (2 Kms from Thirumarugal Division, Nagai district), Abishekam and floral decoration to Nayanar and main deities were conducted. Panchayat Board president, Nattamai, Teachers and local public participated in hundreds. Participation by local people in large numbers and Thirumurai competition for school students were noteworthy. Members of Uzhavaram and surrounding Saiva Association participated. Anandhanam was served for all by local people, Mala and her family. Uzhavaram life time Thondar Thirumathi R.Mala of Melaiyur (9500061020) and her husband Thiru Ramadhas were in charge of the entire festivities.
